How to turn text into a quiz

1. Paste the notes, passage, explanation, or transcript into the text field.
2. Read the source and correct incomplete sentences or missing context.
3. Choose English, French, or Arabic, then select the question count and difficulty.

5. Review each question, answer, and explanation against the original text.

What text works best?

Complete factual sentences with enough surrounding context give the generator stronger evidence. Definitions, causes and effects, comparisons, sequences, and explanations can support clearer questions than isolated labels or disconnected fragments.

Review paragraph breaks and pronouns before generating. If a sentence says only “It changed because of this,” include the preceding material that identifies what changed and why.

What can you turn into quiz questions?

You can paste lecture notes, revision notes, textbook passages, article excerpts, study summaries, explanations, and transcripts. Use material you are allowed to process, and include the part needed to understand the topic rather than an unsupported conclusion alone.

Source-grounded question generation

The pasted passage is the evidence used to create and check candidate questions. Unsupported candidates can be rejected before the result is displayed. More complete source material usually provides more distinct facts and relationships that can be tested.

Source grounding is a quality control, not a guarantee of perfect accuracy. Students and teachers should still verify questions and answers against the original material.

Why Docs2Quiz may return fewer questions

If the passage cannot support the requested number of reliable questions, Docs2Quiz may return fewer rather than deliberately filling the result with unsupported questions. This can happen with a very short passage, repeated statements, ambiguous wording, or content that lacks enough factual relationships.

Add relevant context or lower the requested count instead of padding the source with unrelated sentences.

Privacy and pasted text

You can review and edit pasted text in the browser before generation. When you request AI quiz generation, the text needed for generation is sent to the generation service.

Do not paste confidential information that is unnecessary for the quiz. Generated questions should also be reviewed before they are shared with learners.

Very short text may not contain enough evidence for several questions. Ambiguous statements, incomplete sentences, missing definitions, and passages with little factual support can produce fewer or weaker candidates.

The generator can make mistakes even when the input is well written. Review every important result against the source before teaching, grading, publishing, or exam preparation.
