The current language control offers English, French, and Arabic and selects the OCR language used for the image text. The workflow reads text; it does not interpret a diagram, photograph, or illustration as visual subject matter.
Use a clear PNG, JPG, JPEG, or WebP image with readable text, good contrast, and enough resolution for letters and punctuation to remain distinct. A tightly cropped page usually gives OCR less irrelevant material to process.
Blur, glare, shadows, rotation, stylized fonts, tiny lettering, and dense multi-column layouts can reduce extraction quality. If possible, straighten the page and crop out backgrounds before attaching it.
Useful sources include screenshots of readable explanations, photographed study notes, a textbook section, worksheet instructions, and printed revision material. The important part is that the image contains enough legible text to support questions.
For selectable words that you already have, paste the source into Text to Quiz and skip OCR. For a multi-page document, PDF to Quiz may provide a more direct workflow.
OCR converts visible letter shapes into text. A misread date, missing negative word, merged column, or broken sentence becomes a source-quality problem for the quiz generator. Clear printed text generally produces better evidence than handwriting or a low-resolution photograph.
Check names, numbers, symbols, and key definitions in the extracted text. Correcting an OCR error before another generation request helps prevent that error from influencing a question or answer.
Candidate questions are checked against the supplied or extracted source. Candidates without adequate source support can be rejected. If the readable material cannot support the requested count, Docs2Quiz may return fewer reliable questions instead of deliberately filling the quota with unsupported ones.
This quality check reduces unsupported output, but it does not guarantee perfect questions. Compare important answers and explanations with the corrected source.
Text extraction is performed in your browser where supported. When you request AI quiz generation, the extracted text needed for generation is sent to the generation service.
The source image is used by the browser OCR workflow. Avoid attaching confidential material, and review the extracted text before reusing or sharing generated questions.

Unreadable text, blur, low contrast, severe rotation, decorative lettering, handwriting, complex layouts, and incomplete source material can lead to missing or incorrect OCR text. The tool extracts text rather than understanding visual diagrams or unlabeled objects.
